Lumen Laundry Suite ("Lumen", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and the users of our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our software products and services — including the Billing Dashboard, Customer App, Rider App, Business Website, and Laundry Manager.
By using Lumen, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Business Information
When you register for Lumen, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and billing address. This information is necessary to create and manage your account.
Customer & Order Data
Through the Billing Dashboard, you may enter details about your customers (names, addresses, contact numbers) and their laundry orders. You are the data controller for this information; Lumen acts as a data processor on your behalf.
Rider App Data
The Rider App may collect location data and photos of garments captured during pickup. Location is used only to facilitate order assignment and delivery. Photos are stored securely and associated with the relevant order.
Customer App Data
End-customers using your white-label app may provide their name, address, phone number, and payment details. This data is stored on our secure servers and used solely to operate the booking and delivery service.
Usage & Analytics Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform — pages visited, features used, session duration, device type, and browser. This data helps us improve the product.
Payment Information
Payments are processed through third-party payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay). We do not store your full card details. We receive a transaction reference and status from the payment provider.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your Lumen account and subscription
- To provide, operate, and improve our software products
- To process payments and send invoices
- To send important service updates, security alerts, and support messages
- To respond to your queries and provide customer support
- To analyse usage patterns and improve product features
- To comply with legal obligations under Indian law (including GST and IT Act requirements)
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your data.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate the platform (hosting, payment processing, push notifications, analytics). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Legal Compliance: When required by applicable law, court order, or government authority in India.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers in India (or reputable cloud providers with Indian data centres where applicable). We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; however, we take all reasonable precautions to protect your information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your subscription is active and for a period of up to 3 years thereafter to comply with legal and financial record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. We also use analytics cookies (via Google Analytics) to understand how users interact with our platform. You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some features.
7. Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing.

8. Third-Party Links
The Lumen platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notification. The 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
